This record provides the structural and functional genome annotation of two Tunisian durum wheat landraces, Chili and Mahmoudi (Triticum turgidum subsp. durum, 2n = 4x = 28, AABB), on their curated 14-chromosome assemblies. Structural annotation was generated by reference-based lift-over of the Triticum turgidum subsp. durum cv. Svevo v1 gene models (GFF3) onto each curated assembly using Liftoff. Gene transfer was near-complete: 63,427 genes / 187,419 transcripts for Chili and 63,453 genes / 187,860 transcripts for Mahmoudi, corresponding to a 99.3-99.4% transfer rate (436 and 410 Svevo genes unmapped, respectively); 98.5-98.8% of genes are anchored to the 14 pseudomolecules. Annotation completeness assessed with BUSCO v5.8.0 was 96.2% complete for both landraces (single-copy ~9%, duplicated ~87%, consistent with the tetraploid AABB genome), closely tracking the genome-level BUSCO scores (99.4% / 99.3%). Functional annotation was performed with eggNOG-mapper .  Coordinates correspond to the curated assemblies deposited separately (see Related identifiers).
