Meta-Analysis of HRQoL among Menopausal Women in Sub-Saharan Africa
This repository contains the R code used to perform a systematic meta-analysis on the Health-Related Quality of Life (HRQoL) scores among menopausal women in the Sub-Saharan African region.
Project Overview
The study pools mean HRQoL scores from various standardized tools (MRS, MENQOL, UQoL, etc.) by normalizing them to a 0–100 scale.
Key Analysis Features:
• Normalization: Standardizing different psychometric scales to a uniform 0-100 metric.
• Pooling: Random-effects meta-analysis using the meta package.
• Sensitivity: Leave-one-out analysis to ensure robust results.
• Subgroup Analysis: Investigating variations by Country, Tool, Menopausal Stage, and Study Quality.
• Meta-regression: Assessing the impact of Publication Year and Sample Size.
• Publication Bias: Funnel plots (contour-enhanced), Egger's test, and Trim & Fill adjustment.
