Temporal trends and meteorological controls of NO₂ concentrations in Kumasi, Ghana, 2019–2025. # Kumasi-no2-analysis-2019-2025- Temporal trends and meteorological controls of NO₂ concentrations in Kumasi, Ghana, 2019–2025. Methodology 1. Data Preparation Satellite-derived NO₂ observations for Kumasi, Ghana, covering 2019–2025, were compiled and examined for data quality. Invalid and missing observations were identified and removed before analysis. 2. Meteorological Data Daily meteorological data were obtained from NASA POWER for Kumasi (6.69°N, 1.62°W). The variables considered were air temperature, relative humidity, rainfall, wind speed, and surface pressure. 3. Data Processing The NO₂ observations were matched with the corresponding meteorological conditions. Missing meteorological values were treated as unavailable and excluded where necessary. 4. Temporal Analysis NO₂ concentrations were examined at monthly, seasonal, and annual timescales to identify patterns and long-term changes. 5. Seasonal Classification The analysis classified November–February as the dry season and March–October as the wet season. 6. Statistical Analysis Linear regression was used to evaluate the long-term NO₂ trend. Correlation analysis was used to examine relationships between NO₂ and meteorological variables. 7. Visualization Python was used to generate time-series plots, monthly and seasonal comparisons, and statistical visualizations of NO₂ variability.
