## 📋 Abstract
This study examined how assistive technology supports academic performance, classroom participation, and social inclusion for physically challenged secondary school students in Oyo State, Nigeria.
**Sample:** 150 respondents — 90 teachers + 60 physically challenged students (stratified random sampling)
**Key Findings:**
- **>70%** of respondents reported unavailability of AT across all device categories
- **62–76%** agreed that AT enhances academic performance when available
- **74–79%** affirmed AT's positive impact on classroom participation and social inclusion
- Chi-square tests found **no statistically significant** relationship between AT availability and outcomes — attributed to near-universal device absence, not AT ineffectiveness
- **Private and urban schools** had significantly better access than public and rural counterparts
**Conclusion:** AT holds recognized transformative potential, but its systemic unavailability in Nigerian schools — rooted in inadequate funding, poor infrastructure, and limited teacher training — prevents that potential from being realised.
