privacy policy Privacy Policy — Qur'aan Soomaali - Quran with Tajweed (SomaliQuran) _Last updated: 28 June 2026_ Qur'aan Soomaali - Quran with Tajweed ("the app") is an Islamic reference app for reading the Qur'an with Somali translation, listening to recitation, reading hadith, and viewing prayer times and the Qibla direction. Your privacy matters. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information. ## Summary **We do not collect, store, sell, or share any personal data.** The app has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything you do in the app stays on your device. ## Location If you use the prayer-times or Qibla features, the app asks for your location. Your location is used **only on your device** to calculate prayer times and the direction of the Qibla, and to display the name of your city. The city name is looked up using Apple's on-device geocoding. **Your location is never sent to us or to any third-party server, and it is never stored off your device.** You can use the rest of the app (Qur'an, audio, hadith) without granting location access. ## Data stored on your device The app saves your preferences and progress locally on your device only — for example your last-read position, bookmarks, calculation method, tasbīḥ count, and any audio you choose to download for offline use. This information never leaves your device and is removed if you delete the app. ## Network requests To stream or download Qur'an recitation and to fetch hadith collections, the app connects to the following public Islamic content providers: - QuranEnc / King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex (quranenc.com) — Somali translation audio - Alquran Cloud / Islamic Network (islamic.network) — Arabic recitation audio - Encyclopedia of Hadith / IslamHouse (hadeethenc.com) — hadith text These requests transmit only what is technically necessary to retrieve the requested content (such as your device's IP address, as with any internet r …
