A Raycast extension that convert dates between the Gregorian and Ethiopian calendars. # Qen Qen is a Raycast extension for converting dates between the Gregorian calendar and the Ethiopian calendar. It supports quick conversion in both directions, including numeric dates, English Gregorian month names, Ethiopian month names, and Amharic Ethiopian month names. ## Features - Convert Gregorian dates to Ethiopian dates. - Convert Ethiopian dates to Gregorian dates. - Auto-detect conversion direction from calendar markers like `GC`, `Gregorian`, `EC`, or `Ethiopian`. - Accept common numeric date formats. - Accept month-name date formats such as `May 14 2026 GC`. - Show Ethiopian results with both Amharic and transliterated month names. - Copy the converted date from Raycast. ## Usage Open Raycast and run: ```text Convert Date ``` Enter a date with a calendar marker: ```text May 14 2026 GC ``` Qen converts it to: ```text ግንቦት 06 2018 EC or Ginbot 06 2018 ``` You can also convert the other way: ```text ግንቦት 06 2018 EC ``` which converts to: ```text May 14 2026 GC ``` ## Supported Input Formats Qen supports these calendar markers: - `GC` - `Gregorian` - `EC` - `Ethiopian` Gregorian examples: ```text May 14 2026 GC 14 May 2026 Gregorian 2026-05-14 GC 14/05/2026 Gregorian ``` Ethiopian examples: ```text ግንቦት 06 2018 EC Ginbot 06 2018 EC 2018-09-06 Ethiopian 06/09/2018 EC ``` Numeric dates can use `-` or `/` separators and either: - `YYYY-MM-DD` - `YYYY/MM/DD` - `DD-MM-YYYY` - `DD/MM/YYYY` ## Ethiopian Month Names Qen supports Ethiopian month names in transliterated and Amharic forms: - Meskerem / መስከረም - Tikimt / ጥቅምት - Hidar / ኅዳር - Tahsas / ታኅሣሥ - Tir / ጥር - Yekatit / የካቲት - Megabit / መጋቢት - Miazia / ሚያዝያ - Ginbot / ግንቦት - Sene / ሰኔ - Hamle / ሐምሌ - Nehase / ነሐሴ - Pagume / ጳጉሜ ## Development Install dependencies: ```sh npm install ``` Run the extension locally in Raycast: ```sh npm run dev ``` Lint and build: ```sh npm run lint npm run build ``` ## Publishing Publish to the Raycast Store with: ```sh npm run publish ``` Do …
