Smart ecosystem within every universities across Africa
# Student Innovation Trust (SIT)
## Project Overview
The Student Innovation Trust (SIT) is a pioneering decentralized application (dApp) ecosystem designed to revolutionize student innovation, entrepreneurship, and campus living. It leverages blockchain technology to provide a transparent and secure platform for project funding, a dynamic marketplace, sustainable transportation solutions, and smart housing. SIT aims to foster a vibrant ecosystem where student ideas flourish, essential services are accessible, and communities thrive.
## Project Phases & Features
SIT's development and rollout are structured into three interconnected phases:

* **Community-Backed Solutions:** Solutions provided by housemates are supported by individuals from the assigned state through the SIT platform.
* **Decentralized Marketplace:** A platform for students to offer and discover various services and products, initially featuring those from the reality show. Verified campus vendors (long-standing businesses, student entrepreneurs) are prioritized for onboarding.
* **Project Creation & Funding:** Students can propose innovative projects and seek funding from the community using COST tokens.
* **Milestone-Based Escrow:** Funds are held in escrow and released to project creators upon the successful completion and approval of predefined milestones.
* **Dispute Resolution:** A mechanism for resolving disputes between project creators and contributors, ensuring fairness and accountability.
* **Automatic Refunds:** Contributors are automatically refunded if a project fails to meet its funding goals or is cancelled.
