# Nigeria-Malaria-Surveillance-Analysis-2000-2024
## Tools: Microsoft Excel | Data: WHO Global Health Observatory
Cleaned and analysed 25 years of WHO malaria incidence data for Nigeria, identifying four distinct epidemiological periods and their programmatic drivers. Calculated six health programme KPIs including overall reduction rate, programme success rate, and WHO 2030 target gap analysis. Built an interactive Excel dashboard combining trend visualisation, period comparison charts, KPI cards with traffic light coding, and a policy-facing key finding statement.
## Key finding:
Despite a **26.6%** reduction in malaria incidence over 25 years, Nigeria remains the world's highest malaria burden country due to its population of 220 million with an estimated 65 million cases annually and a current incidence of 295 per 1,000, placing it **73%** behind the WHO 2030 target.
