## Why Heshima Hub?
In Kenya, period poverty remains a significant barrier to education and economic participation. By interlinking community hubs, government data, and real-time inventory tracking, we provide a dignified way for citizens to locate and access free or subsidized period products.
## Engineering Philosophy: Why Rust-Inspired Efficiency?
The user originally envisioned this project in **Rust** to leverage its legendary safety, performance, and memory efficiency—critical for a system handling sensitive demographic data and requiring low-latency responses even in regions with poor connectivity (Edge Cases).
While this specific implementation uses **TypeScript and Node.js** to integrate seamlessly with our deployment ecosystem, it adheres to "Rust-level" principles:

- **Performance**: Asynchronous, non-blocking I/O using a full-stack Express architecture.
