In February 2020 the U-Report developed a U-Report Information chatbot to support COVID-19 Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE). As of 30 March 2020, the Covid-19 bot has been 1) Accessed by over 2.2 million people, 2) Across 43 countries, 3) Over 5 million interactions. In May 2020, UNICEF partnered with Cartedo to empower youth across Africa to solve a series of global grand challenges and positively impact communities while developing employability skills, through the Covid19 Innovation Challenge.
