AI-powered multilingual voice control system for Igbo, Yoruba and Hausa languages. # HEY EVAN Multilingual voice-control system for Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba. ## Project layout - `web/` React + TypeScript + Vite browser application - `web/public/` production images and static assets, including `Background 1.jpg` and `Background 2.jpg` - `server/` Express API for commands, search, and recorded-audio transcription - `README.md` deployment and operating guide This project is prepared for WhoGoHost hosting. ## Important WhoGoHost requirement The web interface is a static Vite application. The API is a Node.js/Express application. Before deploying, confirm that your WhoGoHost hosting package includes **cPanel Node.js Application support** (often shown as "Setup Node.js App" or "Application Manager"). - If Node.js hosting is available, deploy both `web` and `server` on WhoGoHost. - If only normal PHP/static hosting is available, you can deploy the web interface there, but this Express API, LLM commands, and recorded-audio transcription will not run on that account. You would need a separate Node-capable host for `server`. ## Before uploading 1. Push or keep this project on your computer and make a production build. 2. Create an OpenAI API key. OpenAI is the recommended provider because the current server already supports it for natural-language command understanding and recorded-audio transcription through Whisper. 3. Keep the key private. Never place it in `web/src`, the browser build, `README.md`, or a `VITE_*` variable. 4. Confirm your WhoGoHost account has SSL/HTTPS enabled. Browser microphone access requires HTTPS. 5. Confirm the Node.js version offered by cPanel. Use Node 20 if available; Node 18 or newer is recommended by this project. 6. Decide your public URLs. A practical arrangement is: - Web app: `yourdomain.com` - API: `api.yourdomain.com` Run checks locally: ```bash cd web npm install npm run build ``` ```bash cd ../server npm install node --check src/index.js ``` ## Environment files and `.gitignore` The root `. …
