Kenya Malaria Elimination Case Surveillance & Foci Investigation System DHIS2 Metadata Package based on docs.dhis2.org # Malaria Case-Based Surveillance: DHIS2 Package DHIS2 metadata package for malaria case-based surveillance and foci investigation, adapted from the reference design described in the Malaria Surveillance, Monitoring and Evaluation reference manual. The package supports countries in the elimination phase: rapid case notification, household and focus investigation, classification, and response — modelled on the 1-3-7 approach (notify in 1 day, investigate the case in 3 days, investigate the focus in 7 days). Source DHIS2 version: **2.41.0**. ## Package contents The package includes: - **2 tracker programs** — MAL-CS (Case Notification, Investigation and Response) and MAL-FOCI (Foci Investigation) - **2 tracked entity types** — Malaria Case, Focus Area - **8 program stages**, **107 data elements**, **22 tracked entity attributes** - **406 program indicators**, **25 indicators**, **48 visualizations**, **10 maps**, **1 dashboard** - **76 program rules** - **33 option sets** - **7 user groups** scoped per program (Access / Data capture / Admin) ## Prerequisites - **DHIS2 2.41 or later** - An admin account in the target instance ## Installation > Read these instructions through end-to-end before importing. Adapt the default data dimension UIDs In early versions of DHIS2 the UIDs of the default data dimensions were auto-generated, so every instance has its own. Every DHIS2 instance ships with a default Category, CategoryOption, CategoryCombo and CategoryOptionCombo (all named `default`), but the UIDs may differ from the ones this package ships with.
