Principal Investigators see their own portfolio; admins see everything across the institution. The list view shows live burn rate, open milestones, and budget utilisation at a glance — no pivot tables required. ### 💰 Budget Tracking Each grant carries a structured budget broken into categories (personnel, equipment, travel, consumables, indirect costs, etc.). As expenses are approved, the system automatically updates the spent-vs-allocated balance per category and recalculates the overall burn rate. Finance officers and PIs can see exactly where money is going at any point during the grant period. ### 📋 Milestone Management Milestones are attached to grants with due dates and completion status. The dashboard surfaces open milestones so nothing slips through. PIs and admins can mark milestones complete, and the grant detail view shows the full timeline in one place. ### 🧾 Expense Submission & Approval Team members submit expenses against a grant and budget category.
