Trend analysis of some climate variables in Ashanti, Bono, Eastern, Central, Western and Volta regions of Ghana # Ghana Regional Climate Trends (1981–2022) This notebook explores climate trends across six regions in Ghana, The Ashanti, Brong‑Ahafo, Eastern, Central, Western and Volta. The goal was to understand how key climate variables have changed over the past four decades. ## What's in this notebook The analysis covers temperature, rainfall, wind patterns, evaporation, soil temperature, relative humidity, and solar radiation. I applied Mann‑Kendall trend tests and ordinary least squares regression to detect changes over time. The results are visualized with matplotlib plots showing trends and significance levels. ## Data The data comes from the Copernicus ERA5 dataset and Chirps. The notebook expects the following NetCDF files in the working directory: - `Temp_Rainfall.nc` - `eastward_wind.nc` - `northward_wind.nc` - `Evaporation.nc` - `soil_temperature.nc` - `relative_humidity.nc` - `solar_rad.nc` ## Requirements ```bash pip install xarray numpy pandas matplotlib statsmodels pymannkendall
