# IRP-code
Code database containing the scripts used for case study generation, demand modelling and optimisation of modular mini-grids for a research project into the feasibility of modular mini-grid use in rural Tanzania.
The scripts are organised as follows:
\01_CASE_STUDY_GENERATION
01: filter the NPS data and create master database
02: script to carry out regression study on socio-economic parameters
03: attributes household counts to case studies based on TPHC data
04: tags businesses in the NPS with business types from RLI-PSN via searching through descriptions in NPS
05: generates the households and enterprises in each case studies
06: attributes public services to case studies
\02_APPLIANCE_OWNERSHIP
07: matches enterprises in case studies to RLI-PSN records and assigns appliance ownership
08: matches households in case studies to NPS records and assigns appliance ownership
09: assigns appliance ownership profiles to public services
\03_DEMAND_PROFILES
10: uses stochastic elements to assign ratings, durations, windows and switch on/off times to every appliance and builds demand profile
11: carries out validation via comparison to El Espino dataset
\04_HOMER_PRO_AUTOMATION
12: uses pyautogui to automate the running of 100 HOMER Pro simulations
images are references to allow correct buttons to be clicked
\05_MODULAR_OPTIMISATION
13: carries out the optimisation process to identify the most cost effective modular configuration based on a cap on modules per hamlet
14: carries out the sensitvity study to validate the optimisation
