This is Amharic News text classification project The project is done to develope a machine larning model that can predict the class of the text in to 6 classes. The project contains a detail of preprocessing steps like Steaming Stop word removal It uses Naive bayes and SVM to learn the model IT yields 85 percent accuray in predicting the classes of amharic texts
