# CHIRPS Drought Monitor
A beginner-friendly geospatial pipeline that downloads CHIRPS rainfall data and administrative boundaries, clips rainfall data to a study area, and calculates rainfall summaries.
## What The Project Does
- Downloads CHIRPS monthly rainfall data from an online source
- Downloads South African boundary data from geoBoundaries
- Clips global rainfall data to the study area
- Calculates rainfall statistics
- Summarizes rainfall by administrative boundary
## Current Version
This is version 0.1 of the project. It currently works as a basic rainfall processing pipeline.
