Code used for the PopART-IBM model used for the paper "HIV diagnosis and treatment status in individuals dying from HIV in Zimbabwe, Malawi, and South Africa: a model comparison analysis" # hivmortality2026 Code used for the PopART-IBM model used for the paper "HIV diagnosis and treatment status in individuals dying from HIV in Zimbabwe, Malawi, and South Africa: a model comparison analysis" Code has been tested and run on Linux and WSL2 on Windows 11. Earlier versions of PopART-IBM have been run on Os X (note that the GSL library will need installing) and Windows, so the code can be run on those OS's, but the documentation here is for either Linux or WSL. Prerequisites - GSL for C, a C (or C++) compiler if not installed, R (with the following libraries - dplyr, abind, MASS, matrixStats). To run the code, first go into the src/ directory, and type make. Then return to the parent directory and type ./run_impact.sh If all dependencies have been correctly installed, this will run PopART-IBM, and then run the script extract_outputs_forAIDSmortality.R which generates the necessary output files for this project (the csv files output15-19.csv, etc).
