# English-Kinyarwanda Translator A simple web application for translating between English and Kinyarwanda built with Django. ## Features - Translate from English to Kinyarwanda - Translate from Kinyarwanda to English - Modern, responsive user interface - Simple dictionary-based translation ## Prerequisites - Python 3.8 or higher - pip (Python package manager) ## Installation 1. Clone the repository: ``` git clone github.com cd english-kinyarwanda-translator ``` 2. Create a virtual environment and activate it: ``` python -m venv venv # On Windows venv\Scripts\activate.bat # On MacOS/Linux source venv/bin/activate ``` 3. Install the required packages: ``` pip install -r requirements.txt ``` 4. Run the migrations: ``` python manage.py migrate ``` 5. Start the development server: ``` python manage.py runserver ``` 6. Open your browser and navigate to `127.0.0.1` ## Usage 1. Select the source language (English or Kinyarwanda) 2. Select the target language (Kinyarwanda or English) 3. Enter the text you want to translate in the input field 4. Click the "Translate" button 5. View the translated text in the output field ## Technical Details This application uses a simple dictionary-based approach for translation with a limited vocabulary.
