This lack of transparency limits access to capital and reduces trust between farmers and funding providers. Solution AgriChain Nigeria is an open-source prototype built on Solana that enables farmers to create transparent, verifiable records of farming activities while allowing communities and supporters to fund agricultural projects transparently. The platform will record key farming milestones such as land preparation, planting, crop growth, harvest, and produce sales. These records will be stored and timestamped on Solana, creating a transparent history that can be independently verified. In addition, the prototype will demonstrate a community funding mechanism where supporters can contribute funds to agricultural projects and track project progress through on-chain updates.
