An open-source school performance and learning gap system for Nigerian and African schools, helping diagnose student weaknesses, guide teacher intervention, and track real improvement. # Oliseyenum Learning Gap System Oliseyenum Learning Gap System is an open-source education technology project designed to help schools identify why students are not improving, track learning gaps early, guide teacher intervention, and give parents clearer progress feedback. The project is being developed with Nigerian and African school realities in mind: large classrooms, weak foundational numeracy, limited data systems, parent communication gaps, teacher workload, offline needs, mobile-first usage, and exam-driven learning pressure. ## Vision Many schools already know when students are failing. The deeper problem is that they often do not know exactly why. A student may fail algebra because fractions were never mastered. A student may struggle in science because graph interpretation, ratios, or reading comprehension are weak. A class may perform poorly not because the teacher is not teaching, but because hidden foundational gaps were never diagnosed early. This project aims to help schools move from report cards only, late discovery of failure, general scores without explanation, manual guessing, and weak parent feedback to early learning gap diagnosis, topic-by-topic performance tracking, intervention grouping, teacher action plans, parent-friendly progress reports, and school performance dashboards. ## Core Goal To help schools answer four important questions: 1. What exactly is the student struggling with? 2. Why is the student not improving? 3. What should the teacher or parent do next? 4.
