A Spotify web app that shows how modern music has been influenced by key African-American artists like Aretha Franklin, Jimi Hendrix, James Brown and Diana Ross # Black History Month The Black History Month is a web app that shows how just about any modern artist has been directly or indirectly influenced by a set of key African Amerian artists. Given an artist, The app will follow the chain of influences and band membership back (or forward) to one of the seed artists. The path to the artist is highlighted by high quality artist imagery. Press the 'listen' button to hear a playlist of the path. The app is online at TBD It makes use of the Spotify Web API.
