This project seeks to glean insights from the Uganda Elections data since 1996 # Uganda-Elections This project seeks to design, and implement a user friendly and interactive dahsboard for the Uganda Elections data since 1996 to present (2026) General Elections. --- ### Objectives - Data Accessibility and Redistribution; Make historical election data publicly available in clean, machine-readable, accessible and redistributable format. - Data Cleaning and standardization; Normalize inconsistent formats (e.g district names, polling station codes) across different election years through defining schemas and metadata standards for different polling stations, constituencies, results and candidates - Provide APIs, downloadable datasets and open notebooks to support further research. - Analyze, Visualize and Model election data for the past (1996-2021) and current (2026) elections to glean insights for public, private and government use. - Design, and implement an interactive dashboard application with dynamic visualizations and analysis. - Publish project results on the PyData Kampala digital communication channels for public consumption and enablement of policies. --- ### Call for Contributions This project welcomes anyone with the enthusiasm and expertise. Small contributions are always appreciated. Writing code is not the only way to contribute to this project.
