Interactive Power BI dashboard on antibiotic resistance in Gram-negative bacteria from four rivers in Ibadan, Nigeria — built from undergraduate research at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.
## Overview
23 Gram-negative isolates across 8 genera, tested against 12 antibiotics using Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion (CLSI). The dashboard turns lab susceptibility data into visuals for environmental AMR surveillance and public health reporting.
*Built from data collected during my final year undergraduate research at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria — an educational dashboard introducing AMR data visualization for students learning Power BI and microbiological data analysis.*
## Key Findings
- Proteus (7) and Pseudomonas (5) were the most frequently isolated genera
- 100% resistance to Ampiclox across all isolates
- High resistance to several β-lactams and Imipenem
- Levofloxacin and Nalidixic Acid remained largely effective
- Multidrug-resistant bacteria found in all four rivers sampled

## About Me
Every data point on this dashboard started as a test tube on my laboratory bench.
I am a microbiologist from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, who ran the biochemical identification and Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing (Kirby-Bauer disk diffusion) for the 23 isolates behind this project,all sampled from four rivers that cut through communities in Ibadan North, Egbeda, and Ona-Ara.
