On saliokenya.com go to **Import → automatic import** and turn on Option 1 to get your API key. 2. Install the APK (allow "install from this source" when Android asks). 3. In SalioXpress, paste your API key — or tap **Pair with SalioXpress** on the website with the app installed, which fills it in for you. 4. Grant SMS permission, flip the switch on, and tap **Allow running in background**. 5. Tap **Send test** — the test payment appears on your Transactions page. ## Privacy promise - Only messages from the payment senders you list (M-PESA and your banks) are forwarded — **everything else is ignored**: never read, stored or sent. - Messages go only to your own Salio Kenya account over HTTPS, authenticated by your personal API key. - No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no third parties. Free forever. - Permission used: `RECEIVE_SMS` only (the app cannot read your inbox). ## Reliability Forwarding uses Android WorkManager: if your phone is offline the message is queued and delivered when you're back online, surviving reboots. The Salio Kenya server de-duplicates by receipt code, so retries can never create a double entry. ## Building Standard Android project — `gradle assembleRelease` with a `keystore.properties` (see `app/build.gradle.kts`).
