touching the continent (live and planned), aggregated terrestrial fiber in
derived Core / Distribution / Access tiers, landing stations, and major
cities, with owners, design capacity, egress-cost benchmarks and estimated
latency to US East / US West / Europe. Companion pages: a by-country table
