It began as a Cape Verdean Creole translation project and is evolving into a mobile-first guide that combines language, local culture, maps, and offline discovery. ## Product direction - Cape Verdean Creole language support; - translation and language-learning experiences; - cultural stories and local discovery; - personalized routes and interactive maps; - offline-first access for travel and everyday use; - web and mobile experiences. ## Why it matters Languages and local knowledge with limited digital representation are often poorly served by general-purpose products. Papia is being built from a local perspective so the language, places, and cultural context are part of the product itself. ## Engineering Papia has been explored across Spring-based translation services, web experiences, and React Native mobile applications with local storage and offline maps. ## Repository note This public repository is a product overview.
