Climate Intelligence for Wine Farm Industry of South Africa ML Tool
# VineVisualizers Irrigation Decision Pipeline
A block-by-block, day-by-day irrigation decision tool for Tokara vineyard (Stellenbosch, South Africa), built on the FAO-56 evapotranspiration framework. Given weather, satellite, and phenology data, the pipeline tells a grower, for every block, every day: is it Green / Amber / Red, how many millimetres to irrigate if so, and how likely it is to need water in the next **N** days.
This fills a gap that a monthly regional forecast ("Climate Compass") can't: daily, block-level, prescriptive guidance.

## 1. What this pipeline does
Every vineyard block needs a certain amount of water each day. We estimate how much water the vine **should** be using (based on weather and growth stage) and compare that to how much it's **actually** using (measured by satellite). Adding in rainfall lets us keep a running tally of how "thirsty" the soil is, for every block, every day.
From that tally, the pipeline answers three questions per block, per day:
1. Is it **Green** (fine), **Amber** (watch it), or **Red** (irrigate now)?
2. If Red, how many **millimetres** of water should it get?
3. How likely is it to need water in the **next N days**?

| **ETc** (crop water demand) | How much water a vine theoretically needs on a given day \u2014 its water "budget" for the day. |
