The project compares: - total health facilities by county - total hospital beds by county - population per health facility - health access priority levels The purpose is to identify counties where health facilities may be under higher population pressure and where further public health assessment may be needed. --- ## Tools Used - ArcMap 10.8 - Python - pandas - matplotlib - Microsoft Excel - Microsoft Word --- ## Data Sources - HDX Kenya administrative boundaries - OpenAfrica Kenya Master Health Facility List 2020 - HDX / KNBS Kenya Census Population 2019 --- ## Methodology Summary 1. Downloaded Kenya county boundary data, health facility data, and population data. 2. Inspected raw datasets in ArcMap and Excel. 3. Cleaned health facility and population CSV files using Python. 4. Summarized health facilities, hospital beds, and operational facilities by county. 5. Joined county health facility summaries with county population data. 6. Calculated population per health facility and population per hospital bed. 7. Classified counties into health access priority levels. 8. Created charts using Python matplotlib. 9. Joined the analysis table to Kenya county boundaries in ArcMap. 10. Exported four final thematic maps and a final report. --- ## Key Outputs ### Maps 1.
