Kikuyu Hymns for Video Psalm # Nyimbo Cia Kuinira Ngai A simple, professional, beginner-friendly hymn presentation workspace for VideoPsalm and vMix. ## What This Repo Contains - `NyimboCiaKuiniraNgai/` - hymn text files - `vMix/selection.html` - operator console for searching and sending content - `vMix/live.html` - live display shown in the vMix Browser input - `vMix/index.html` - optional entry page that redirects to the operator console ## Quick Start 1. Open `vMix/selection.html` on the operator screen. 2. Open `vMix/live.html` in vMix by pasting its file URL or local server URL into the Browser input URL field. 3. Search for a hymn in the selection page and choose the paragraph you want. 4. The live page updates immediately, and the selection page also shows a live preview. ## vMix Setup - Use the Browser input URL field in vMix and point it to `vMix/live.html`. - If you are opening the files locally, a `file:///.../vMix/live.html` path also works. - Keep `selection.html` on the operator screen or a second tab. - Set the Browser input resolution to match your output, such as `1920x1080`. ## How Sync Works - `selection.html` is the control surface. - `live.html` renders the audience output. - Actions from the selection page are sent to the live page immediately through the shared sync layer. - The selection page includes an embedded live preview so you can check the output without switching away. ## VideoPsalm Import If you want to use the hymn text files in VideoPsalm: 1. Copy the `NyimboCiaKuiniraNgai/` folder into your VideoPsalm hymns or library folder. 2. Refresh or rescan the library inside VideoPsalm. 3. Keep the file names and folder structure unchanged. ## Keeping Test Files Private - Temporary test images or test text files should stay in ignored local folders. - Use filenames like `test-...` or `sample-...` for throwaway files. - The repo ignores `assets/` and common local test file patterns so they do not get shared to GitHub. ## Notes - The hymn files are plain …
