This report presents the second phase of the COMPASS compound event attribution studies, building on the framework and findings established in Phase 1 to test, refine and extend operational climate attribution methods across seven use cases. Four use cases were extended from Phase 1 (UK Winter Storms, UK Drought-Heatwave, Tropical Cyclones Idai (East Africa) and Iota/Eta (Honduras)) with improved modelling frameworks and alternative attribution methods, while three new use cases (USA Tropical Cyclones, Durban floods and Crete Drought) were added to broaden the range of hazards and mechanisms covered by COMPASS.
