HBV CARE - A multi-stakeholder network to support translational Hepatitis B research established by Crick Partnership Funding

HBV CARE is a multi-stakeholder group established with support from the Partnership Networking Fund at the Francis Crick Institute.Our aim is to create and develop a network that brings together stakeholders in translational HBV research and clinical service development, including healthcare workers, laboratory scientists, social scientists, science communicators, people with lived experience and community-based organisations. This activity will support enhanced equitable, representative laboratory and implementation research. We aim to develop research and services that are co-produced by service users, and to improve advocacy, awareness and education by reaching out to a wide public and patient audience.We have special interests in redressing health inequities, with focus on migrant health, inclusion health and international health. Partnerships include the British Liver Trust and World Hepatitis Alliance, and research collaborations link the Francis Crick Institute in the UK, the Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) in South Africa, the Uganda Virus Research Institute (UVRI) and Kemri Wellcome Trust Research Partnership (KWTRP) in Kenya. We have close clinical links and collaborations with University College London NHS Foundation Trust and Central North West London NHS Foundation Trust. An annual hybrid meeting provides a focal point for presentations, workshops and interaction. Meeting agendas and a written report are shared in the public domain, and other outputs include funding applications, invited talks, new collaborations and the publication of peer-reviewed papers.For other information about our research, resources, research and publications, visit our lab page: crick.ac.uk
