Human Flourishing as a Complementary Measure of Poverty. Insights from the Global Flourishing Study

This paper explores the added value of incorporating the perspective of human flourishing into poverty measurement. Using data from the first wave of the Global Flourishing Study, it compares deprivation in subjective income and human flourishing across demographic groups in Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania, South Africa, Germany, and the United States.
