This paper examines the ideological state apparatus reflected in a Tigrigna political novel. This study aimes to investigate the political ideologies and focuses on a specific Tigrina novel. The researcher employs a qualitative and textual research approach to analyze the target novel. This article's main point of discussion included a close examination of the political ideologies reflected in the text. This study could introduce researchers to the concept of ideology and its socio-political representations in novels. Various ideological classifications have been explored in connection with the socio-political themes present in Tesfay's novel, mɨnkuħkʷaħ zəjfɨlləjo maʕs’o. The novel has been examined through Althusser’s analytical perspective, the Ideological State Apparatus. This category has shed light on the socio-political reflections in Ethiopia both before and after the 1974 revolution, particularly during the Dergue Regime. The analysis has been supported by textual evidence that illustrates the issues under examination.
