Education is a right guaranteed in the Constitution of the Republic of Mozambique as a fundamental right, being indispensable the need to educate for heterogeneity. In this sense, the aim of this study was to analyse the challenges and possibilities of inclusive education in higher education in Mozambique experienced by students with special educational needs, who have difficulties in the use and access to educational technologies and the issue of gender inequality in the courses offered in the areas of natural sciences and mathematics. The research is exploratory, descriptive and qualitative-quantitative in nature, with students and managers of the departments of social services, ICTs and the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics as the target public. The study showed that with regard to the issue of students with special educational needs, the university has done its utmost with a view to including them in the PEA, by way of example is the training of lecturers in matters of inclusion of students with SEN and also the improvement of the physical structure of the institution. For the point referring to the use and access of the educational technologies it was clear that there are difficulties of several orders related to the use of the ICTs in the SAP within the students of UniPúnguè. And finally, with regard to gender inequality in the courses offered by the FCNM, it was found that the factors that cause inequality in the courses are the issue of low enrolment of women for the admission exams and the withdrawal of women throughout the course.
