Inoculation theory is an approach that uses exposure to a weakened ‘dose’ of common techniques found in mis- and disinformation, along with an explanation of these, to help people develop psychological resistance to mis- and disinformation. Until recently, much of the testing of inoculation theory has taken place in Global North contexts. Present study tests the approach in Tunisia, attempting to inoculate people against emotionally manipulative language.
