This is a presentation I gave for ICTP, Italy as a part of a Seminar entitled: Open Science to leave no one behind on May 28th 2021.The best definition of OS for me is the following: Transparent and accessible knowledge that is shared and developed through collaborative networks. In this presentation I talked about the challenges facing OS in the developing world taking my country Sudan as an example and how can we change the mindset and policies towards a better understanding of what is OS and how to involve people from different backgrounds.
