This was a cross-sectional and descriptive quantitative study, based on PSI's approach embedded with a methodology known as TRaC (Tracking Results Continuously). The purpose of the Tracking Results Continuously (TRaC) survey is to provide evidence for monitoring and implementation of PSI/Kenya's HIV prevention and risk reduction program. The objectives of the study were informed on the various indicators that have been monitored continuously for the past ten years of the implementation: 1.The percentage of youth 15-24yrs reporting condom use at last sex with regular non cohabiting partner and casual partner, 2.The percentage of males 15-24yrs reporting consistent condom use, 3.The percent of 15-24yr old youth who believe condoms are effective for HIV prevention, 4.The percent of male youth 15-24 reporting increased levels of self efficacy on condom negotiation, 5.The proportion of youth 15-24yr reporting increased HIV/AIDS self risk perception, 6.The proportion of men and women 25-49yrs who strongly agree that mutual faithfulness is the best HIV prevention method among married couples, 7.The proportion of men and women 25-49yrs who strongly agree that it is natural for men to have many partners, 8.The percentage of married/cohabiting men and women between the ages of 15-49 who have heard of Femiplan condom, 9.And percent of married/cohabiting men and women between the ages of 15-49 who agree with the statement: "Condoms are an acceptable method of family planning within a marital relationship." This national level household based study was conducted among a population of males and females aged 15-49 years in all seven provinces of Kenya except North Eastern Province where PSI/K does not have active implementation of its activities. This study considered a sample 3660 men and women aged 15-49 years who gave written, informed, and voluntary consent to participate in the study.
