The strategy provides a comprehensive framework to guide Kenya in harnessing the transformative power of AI, ensuring its deployment benefits all sectors of society while adhering to ethical principles and inclusivity. At the core of this strategy is Kenya’s aspiration to adopt AI technologies and lead in AI model innovation, R&D and commercialisation, creating solutions tailored to its unique needs and those of the African continent. The objectives include establishing a robust governance framework for AI; enhancing adoption in key sectors such as agriculture, security, healthcare, education, and public service delivery; and fostering the growth of local AI ecosystems.
