This article offers a study of AI ethics in Senegal, reviewing UNESCO's guidelines on AI ethics, the AU roadmap on ethical AI, existing and inspiring initiatives in Africa on ethical AI, the Russian Federation's principles on ethical AI, and Senegal's National Strategy on Artificial Intelligence (SNIA). After conducting a thorough analysis of these guidelines, the author identified key terms of the guidelines and classified them according to their frequency of occurrence in the eight sources. In doing so, the author was able to identify ethical considerations and challenges associated with the implementation of AI in the Senegalese context. The results of this literature review allowed the author to: - Compare Senegal's AI policies with global standards; - Explore the challenges and opportunities related to AI ethics and data policy implementation in Senegal; - Provide recommendations to improve Senegal's AI policies.
