Fang is a variety of the Yemne-Kimbi language group (Good et al 2011) spoken in Lower Fungom in Fungom Subdivision in Menchum Division of the North West Region of Cameroon. The langauge is tonal and has nominal prefixes. The verbs have varying verbal extensions. In the wordlist, we observed individual lexical variation among the two consultants from whom the data was collected. The variation could be accounted for by the differences noticed in sociolinguistic profile of both consultants.
