Lower Palaeolithic technology, raw material and population ecology

The Lower Palaeolithic technology, raw material and population ecology archive is a database of bifaces from Africa, Europe and the Near East. The database contains 10668 digitised images of 3556 bifaces, as well as information on provenience, raw material and standard measurements. The date range covered is 1500000 to 300000 years ago. An extensive overview gives context to the bifaces and bibliographies for many of the sites from which they were recovered.
