Baaddo Kuyaado performs four lyre songs of the kaldi baaba (file 001), kaa'ooda (file 002), c'aaggo c'alti (file 003) and aakkwase (file 004) rhythm. In the last file (005) he adapts a wedding song, alambushe, to the lyre and sings together with Taynesh Bukashe. Baaddo is a farmer from Dabts'a-Dalk'insa. He plays the lyre and is left-handed. Yvonne Treis is a linguist and works on Ethiopian languages at CNRS in France.
