Project Overview The ÍMÓLÉ Multi‑Purpose Botanical Formulation is a locally sourced, oil‑in‑water emulsion developed for sustainable pest and disease management in West African cocoa production. It combines palm oil, neem oil, a blend of essential oils, garlic extract, and biodegradable emulsifiers into a stable, farmer‑safe solution. This project presents the expanded testing protocol designed to: Quantitatively evaluate pest mortality and repellency against capsids and mirids. Test systemic uptake via foliar, soil, and seed‑treatment pathways. Assess antifungal activity against Phytophthora palmivora (black pod disease). Investigate induced systemic resistance (ISR) mechanisms. Validate field efficacy and commercial viability through multi‑site trials. The protocol is pre‑registered on OSF to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and timestamped priority. It is designed for collaborative execution with the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), the University of Cape Coast (UCC), and the Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD).
