These hashtags were central to nationwide protests and digital activism in Kenya during the period, reflecting substantial online engagement, political discourse, and content likely to include misinformation.
The data was extracted using NodeXL, with tweets collected based on keyword and hashtag matching. After extraction, the dataset underwent a manual annotation and active learning process to classify each tweet.
