Guided by the central hypothesis that improving access to AT and supporting entrepreneurship within the AT value chain will enhance inclusion and employment opportunities for YWD, this scoping review will explore the current landscape of AT in Africa across policy, system, market, and user domains. The objectives include identifying barriers and facilitators to AT access, mapping policy frameworks and stakeholders, cataloguing innovative and scalable practices, and identifying potential employment and entrepreneurial pathways within the AT sector. This work will provide the first continent-wide synthesis of AT access and entrepreneurship linkages using comprehensive systems and equity-oriented lenses.
