This data set contains the MEAN ANNUAL "BLUE" WATER FLOWS (mm) in South Africa. The study intended to determine the major driver of change of terrestrial water balance over both space and time. Due to the manipulation of the Earth`s natural land cover through conversions for food and fodder production, both rainfed and irrigation and human habitation. The conversions from natural land covers result in changes in the partitioning of precipitation into so-called "blue" water, i.e. water available in rivers and lakes.
