Community health centres (CHCs) play a crucial role in healthcare delivery in Rwanda, particularly in underserved areas. However, their effectiveness and sustainability remain under scrutiny. A mixed-methods approach was employed, including quantitative data collection from CHCs and qualitative interviews with CHWs. Multilevel regression analysis was used to model the impact of contextual variables on CHW adoption rates. Multilevel regression analysis revealed a significant positive correlation between access to resources (e.g., medicines, equipment) and CHW adoption rates (OR = 1.25, CI: [1.07, 1.46], p < .01). The study provides evidence for the importance of resource availability in enhancing CHW adoption within Rwanda's community health system. Policy recommendations include ensuring adequate funding and supply logistics to support CHCs effectively.
