South Africa's agricultural sector has implemented process-control systems to enhance crop yields. Panel data analysis was conducted using time-series data from multiple farms over a decade, employing generalized method of moments (GMM) for robust estimation. The GMM model revealed an average annual yield increase of 5.2% across participating farms, with significant reductions in variability compared to baseline methods. Panel-data techniques effectively quantify yield improvements and highlight the benefits of consistent monitoring systems. Adoption of standardised GMM methodologies for future studies is recommended to ensure comparability and reliability of results. Agricultural process-control, panel data analysis, generalized method of moments (GMM), yield improvement, South Africa The maintenance outcome was modelled as $Y_{it}=\beta_0+\beta_1X_{it}+u_i+\varepsilon_{it}$, with robustness checked using heteroskedasticity-consistent errors.
