This study examines transport maintenance depots in Ethiopia to evaluate their operational efficiency. A difference-in-differences approach will be used, with pre- and post-intervention data from selected depots. Significant efficiency gains were observed in the intervention group compared to controls, indicating effective policy implementation. The model successfully captured the impact of interventions on depot performance. Further research should explore long-term sustainability and scalability of these maintenance systems. The maintenance outcome was modelled as $Y_{it}=\beta_0+\beta_1X_{it}+u_i+\varepsilon_{it}$, with robustness checked using heteroskedasticity-consistent errors.
